Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Download CurlCrew from the App Store and tap "Get Started." You can sign up using your email, Google, Apple ID, or Facebook account through our secure Auth0 authentication system.

Is CurlCrew free to use?

Yes, CurlCrew is free to download and use. Core features including posting routines, following other users, and accessing the community are all available at no cost.

Account Management

How do I delete my account?

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. This action cannot be undone. You can email us at contact@curlcrew.app to request account deletion.

How do I change my email or password?

Go to Profile → Settings → Account Settings. You can update your email address and password from there. If you signed up through a social provider (Google, Apple, Facebook), you'll need to manage your password through that provider.

How do I update my profile picture or bio?

Tap on your Profile tab, then tap "Edit Profile." From there you can update your avatar, bio, and other profile information.

Using the App

How do I post my curl routine?

Tap the camera button (center of bottom navigation) to create a new post. You can upload photos or videos, add your routine details, tag products you used, and share your curl journey with the community.

How do I save products I want to try?

When viewing a post, tap on the product tags to see product details. Tap the save/bookmark icon to add products to your saved list. Access your saved products from the Products tab (bottle icon).

What is CurlBot?

CurlBot is your AI-powered hair care assistant. Access it from the second tab to get personalized routine recommendations, product suggestions, and answers to your curly hair questions.

Privacy & Data

What data do you collect?

We collect information necessary to provide our services, including account information, content you post, and usage data. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.

Can I download my data?

Yes, you can request a copy of your data by emailing contact@curlcrew.app. We'll provide your data in a portable format within 30 days.

Who can see my posts?

By default, posts are public and visible to all CurlCrew users. You can control the visibility of individual posts when creating them by selecting privacy options.

Troubleshooting

The app is crashing or not loading

Try these steps:

  1. Close the app completely and reopen it
  2. Check for app updates in the App Store
  3. Restart your device
  4. Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  5. If issues persist, email us at contact@curlcrew.app with your device model and iOS version

I can't upload photos or videos

Make sure CurlCrew has permission to access your photo library. Go to Settings → Privacy → Photos and ensure CurlCrew is enabled. Also check that you have sufficient storage space on your device and a stable internet connection.

I'm not receiving notifications

Go to Settings → Notifications → CurlCrew and ensure notifications are enabled. You can also check notification preferences within the app under Profile → Settings → Notifications.
